It all started with a racket leaning against the wall.
A small makeshift shelf. A living room at home.
And a dream bigger than any store.

My name is Giuseppe, and this is the story of Sport Specialist, now a reference point for thousands of tennis players, padel players, and runners throughout Italy — but born, as often happens with the truest stories, from a simple passion.

Where it all began: a passion without limits

Before being an entrepreneur, I was (and still am) a true enthusiast. Tennis, padel, and running have never been just sports for me: they have been education, personal growth, and above all, determination.

And it was precisely thanks to that determination, when everything seemed impossible, that I decided to start from my living room. With a thousand fears and few resources, I welcomed the first curious visitors, then the first customers. Some were local tennis coaches who saw in me the desire to work and the dedication to this world.

I didn’t have a real store, but I had listening skills, availability, and a strong desire to learn. While organizing the first rackets, I traveled across Italy — even to Milan — to train in the most serious way possible.

From the garage to the first real shop: a growth all uphill

In a short time, the living room was no longer enough.
So I transformed the garage under the house into a small equipped shop. A place where passion began to take shape.

Then, the next step: the first rented space. Small, not very suitable for selling sports goods, but it was all I could afford.

It was a very tough period. Many competitors, low margins, many sleepless nights. But it was precisely at that moment that I obtained the official title of Stringer from the FITP (Italian Tennis and Padel Federation).

A recognition that marked the beginning of a new phase: more professional, more credible, safer for customers.

The birth of Sport Specialist in Syracuse

After years of work, sacrifices, and carefully served customers, I finally realized one of my biggest dreams: opening a real store of my own, in a central area of Syracuse.

Thus, Sport Specialist Syracuse was born.

A place that today is much more than just a store: it is a reference point for all Sicilian athletes, a center where you find real technical advice, field experience, and a selection of products designed for those who truly love these sports.
